The last thing you want is your employer falling asleep because your resume is the same all the way.  Find a way to make it sound exciting but focus on being honest as well.Come to think of an ideal summary, it should consist of two or three sentences describing your skillsets, experience and the place you graduated from and typically it should contain at least one reason why you are applying for this job. Furthermore, your future employer can evaluate in which way you can contribute to the company. If youve proved yourself as a good and reliable employee in previous companies youve worked for and if you have the required skill set to contribute to the company youre applying to, chances are you will get the job. Also, by listing your previous positions and experience you are providing your employer the information of for how long have you’ve been employed and unemployed. This is important information for employers as they are not so willing to employ someone who doesn’t have at least 2 or 3 years of experience.Sometimes a person can have an excellent set of skills, but the experience still prevails, as it confirms how you utilize the skills you have. When listing the previous position, don’t forget, you should always add 3 or 4 bullets about how you’ve contributed to the company. Here’s an extra tip for you numbers and percentages do the magic! They have the power to convince your employer that you’ve made an impact on your previous job position.Of course, don’t push this, if impossible. The trick cannot be applied to absolutely every profession. Right WrongHave this in mind as well- when writing about your previous experiences, include only the purposeful ones in your resume. The rule “the more the better” does not make sense here. The only jobs you should list are those which are somehow connected to the profession you’re applying for. If you have worked in a café for a year before your real career began, it’s quite okay to omit that from your resume.PROPER WAY TO WRITE ABOUT MY EDUCATION IN A RESUMEThis one may not be as important as the Experience section, but it certainly doesn’t mean you should not arrange it well. This section can make a difference if there are two candidates with equal experience and skill set, as something needs to make difference between them.To take a practical example, if an employer is to select between two candidates, one who has excellent grades and skills, and the other who has a year or two of experience, but no contribution on the job, the logical choice is the first candidate. Right WrongSo, the education matters, like all the other sections do, which is why one must carefully write and describe all the qualifications and skills, seminars, essays. Again, make sure there’s a balance. Don’t just list things for the sake of listing them, do so if they are concerning the position you are applying for. Here’s what you can highlight in the Education section:The college, academy or online course you’ve graduated from.GPA score if it is very high.Papers youve written, projects youve taken part in and seminars youve visited.Organizations and clubs you’ve joined.Being a secretary or an assistant can be a very creative and dynamic position if you are a kind of person that has the capacity to show so.That’s why it’s essential to write a resume that will represent all your qualities at their finest, and make the recruiters believe that there’s no better candidate than you.GUIDELINES ON INCLUDING YOUR SKILLS IN A RESUMESince the position of a secretary or ass istant requires more or less the same skillset, your job is to describe them as less generic as possible. It may sound challenging, but there’s a little trick on how to make them sound unique. You have a position in a company that sells computers and in the other that arranges journeys to exotic destinations. When listing skills, try to think of what are the specific requirements for each of these positions and adjust the skills.Whatever you do, avoid listing mediocre skills which everyone who applies for this position usually list. Here’s a practical example to clarify: Right Wrong Pro TipSide note:The same thing as with the Experience section, don’t list skills which have nothing to do with the position you are applying for.  The fact that you are “great at making cupcakes” or “passionate athlete” sound cool, but do not depict you as a secretary or assistant.USEFUL TIPS AND TRICKS THAT WILL AMAZE YOUR RECRUITERLength of your resume â€" Some people think to list so many things in their resume that they start to wonder if two pages are enough. The others can barely fill out one page. The ideal length is around one page, but entire, not half of it. If you have so much precious experience, then two pages are okay as well but don’t go beyond that.Proofreading â€" Grammar errors, typos and similar are a huge no-no in resume. The best way to prevent potential problems is to send your resume to a proofreader.  Don’t let a grammatical error damage your credibility and be the factor to eliminate you.Reviewing â€" Double-checking things is always s mart, particularly in a situation like this one. Therefore, consider sending your resume to someone who is already receiving countless resumes daily and who knows what an employer pays attention to. Having an objective and independent opinion can also boost your chances and direct you the right way.Articulate â€" Being able to articulate the information you provide on your resume precisely is a crucial thing.  Be clear and precise, so that you don’t end up being interpreted the wrong way. If you want the job, make sure you sound that way and make your resume sound and look presentable.Adapting your resume â€" The best option is to tailor your resume based on the position you are applying for. Ideally, you should write a different resume every time. That’s because not all job positions require the same skills and the same work experience. If not, at least adjust the one you currently have based on what the demands for the specific positions require.Bulleting â€"Bullet point is gr eat for skimming the resume, so feel free to use them frequently. Having in mind that the employers often spend just 6 seconds on average looking at a resume, bullet points are your secret weapon to make sure that keywords pop out at him.Highlighting â€" You can mix this with bullet points to emphasize keywords. However, try not to over-do it as the effect will be opposite. Instead of stressing out key points, you may sound as if youre trying to impress your employer too much.Font â€" Handwritten style fonts such as Segoe Print or MV Boli, may look impressive but are not a good choice for resume. The same goes for Comic Sans. Instead, stick with the good, old fonts like Cambria, Calibri, Times New Roman, Helvetica and so on. They look neutral and are easy to read, which is why they are the most logical choice for resumes.Formatting â€" Please have a copy of your resume both in physical and digital form. Moreover,  always use different formats such as PDF and TXT because you never kn ow if the recruiter will need both of them.E-Mail â€" Checking your E-Mail regularly is a must when applying for a job. Freedom or Liberty - 1145 Words

Freedom and Liberty Every day the federal government as well as state and local government pass laws to make us a safer society. As they make society safer they are slowly chewing away at our rights, liberties, and personal freedom. Where is the balance? A serf toiling away in a field had very little liberty. He couldn’t vote and didn’t have any true freedom of speech or assembly. But he did have freedom to think his own thoughts, and he was given by his creator the right to moral agency. It was here that his variation of opinion with Edison over direct current versus alternating current began. This disagreement soon became the war of the currents as Edison fought a losing battle to protect his investment in direct current equipment and facilities. Tesla began pointing out the worthlessness of Edison’s direct current electrical powerhouses that have been building up and down the Atlantic seaboard. The secret, he felt, lay in the use of alternating current, because to him all energies were cyclic. Edison’s lamps were weak and worthless when supplied by direct current. This system had a severe disadvantage in that it could not be transported more than two miles due to its incapability to step up to high voltage levels necessary for long distance transmission. Because of this a direct current power station was required every two miles. Direct current flows continuously in one direction; alternating current changes direction fifty or sixty times per second and can be stepped up to vary high voltage levels, minimizing power loss across great distances. Nikola Tes la developed polyphase alternating current system of generators, motors and transformers. He held forty basic U.S. patents on the system, which George Westinghouse bought, wanting to supply America with the Tesla system. Depth, Desire, Determination, and Disclosure Essay

Depth, Desire, Determination, Disclosure It was just for a second that we exchanged eyes. He stared at me and I stared at him. Then suddenly a chill went into our spines; we both put our eyes down acting like we had seen each other for the very first time, while we were roommates, well at least for ten days. I couldn’t blame him for that and neither could he blame me. Situations were same for all of us-more than fifty people-living together there and sharing the same schedule. But what made that journey of self-liberation most memorable was a lesson that I learnt. Like I stated before, the meditators were required to maintain noble silence- the silence of body, speech and mind; so any kind of communication was not possible. I, during that period of ten days, either consciously or unconsciously conjectured what my fellow meditators were in real life, especially my roommates. I even had conversations with them, well in my mind, of course. I accumulated whatever I had known about other people who were similar to my fellow meditators and added those characteristics to the image I had formed about the meditators in my mind; the image which I was sure to be an unequivocal truth. But to my greatest shock, when we were allowed to break our noble silence and even encouraged to speak with each other on the tenth day of the course, my supposition about their behavior was nowhere near to reality. But, I thought, this way the only way I assimilated information about m y surrounding and from today onwards it was officially unviable. And I started thinking about the several times I made the same mistake in the past. From that day on, I really began to see things from different points of view and started looking at things from others’ perspective. The World Health Organization A Global Public Health Treaty

Overview of the FCTC The World Health Organisation (WHO) Framework Convention for Tobacco Control (FCTC) is a global public health treaty, developed in response to the globalisation of the â€Å"Tobacco epidemic†, that entered into force in the February of 2005 (World Health Organisation, 2015). As outlined in the convention itself, the aim of the FCTC is to â€Å"...protect present and future generations from the devastating... consequences of tobacco consumption and exposure† (WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, 2005). The FCTC was conceived within a milieu of significant tobacco usage; in 2005, there were more than 1.25 billion smokers worldwide (Roemer, Taylor Lariviere, 2005). The origins of the FCTC lie in a push for the WHO to employ its constitutional powers to establish international conventions with a view to advance global health, particularly related to tobacco use. Having first been conceptualised in 1993, this proposal was delivered to the WHO by Roemer and Taylor in 1995. In 1996, the World Health Assembly voted for its development to proceed (Roemer et al., 2005). The framework was adopted by consensus in 2003, before entering into force in 2005 (WHO Framework Convention on Tobacco Control, 2005). The FCTC has seen seen success in ensuring an international response to the tobacco epidemic, with 180 parties to the convention as of 2015 (‘Parties to the WHO Framework , 2016), although questions remain about their compliance (Kebede-Francis, 2011). Solution for Air Pollution Free Essays

2 March, 2008 The Solution for Air Pollution Society as a whole faces many environmental problems, and as a result, environmental awareness tends to be a pressing issue. Every day, people recycle cans, glass bottles, and newspapers. Many people buy bottled water, or own filters for their tap water, as a health precaution from the pollutants in normal everyday drinking water. We will write a custom essay sample on Solution for Air Pollution or any similar topic only for you Order Now Air pollution is perhaps the biggest environmental issue the Earth is facing. Automobiles are responsible for a notable amount of the air pollution problem. Of course, on the other hand so are factories. If the fight against air pollution were to be taken to a higher level, putting pressure on factories that produce air pollution will have a greater effect than focusing on automobiles. The solution for problems caused by automobiles can only be taken to the level of removing vehicles off the road that cause excessive pollution. A campaign to promote car-pooling, and the use of public transportation could be started up, but those types of promotions do not get enough support. Clearly, factories should be targeted for the best results. The environmental policies that the government regulates for factories or other companies who produce air pollution must be made stricter. Factories are causing enormous amounts of air pollution, the air in most metropolitan areas is filled with pollutants, and passing laws that are more strictly enforced could have a positive effect on the situation. Air pollution can be simply defined as â€Å"all the substances that are exhausted into the atmosphere that do not normally make up the air. There are numerous types of these pollutants in the air, but carbon monoxide, sulfur dioxide, hydrocarbons, and nitrogen oxides are, by far, the most common. Such particles are expelled daily by leniently controlled factories through the continuous outpour of smoke. The primary process that creates air pollution is oxidation, which is simply defined as burning. This process has been going on for centuries, beginning when man first became aware of a very useful cooking tool, what is now known as fire. As technology advanced, major industries developed and began to use fires as a source of energy for power plants and the disposal of garbage. Air pollution has long been a factor with the issue of protecting the environment. For example, in the nineteenth century, people in London, England complained about the foggy weather that was created by the smoke from burning coals in the homes of people, as well as places of business. In December of 1952, the worst air pollution disaster ever recorded also occurred in London. Nicknamed the â€Å"killer smog,† this disaster occurred because of a temperature inversion, which is when warmer temperatures get hotter as they get further from the earth’s surface rather than cooler as they usually do. In this particular event, a cool front also moved in below the warm air, which caused more people than usual to burn coal, which is high in sulfur. Because of the warm air that had risen, the smoke from the fireplaces had nowhere to rise and was being pushed back down. This string of events produced the â€Å"killer smog† which led to the deaths of more than four thousand people. Because of this one horrific event, scientists became more aware of the effects that air pollution can have on a population, which has led to more in-depth studies. The same type of pollution, though in much more extreme cases, can be seen in cities today. The modern name for the foggy weather that these people were seeing is now referred to as smog. It is composed of mainly ground level ozone, which is caused by toxins in the air. These toxins are released mainly through the exhaust systems of automobiles and from factories. There are two main causes of air pollution: automobiles and factories. The dangerous effects that these two cause can be primarily attributed to burning, or more specifically, oxidation. When a substance is burned, it releases harmful byproducts that are emitted into the air and thereby become pollutants. The greater majority of citizens drive automobiles, and they are vital in everyday life for the purpose of transportation. There are many practical, cost-effective measures that can be taken to reduce the emissions of air pollutants, including the adoption of energy conservation measures and switching to natural gas. Many existing Clean Air Act programs, such as the acid rain program, and the ground-level ozone smog programs, if properly implemented, will do much to reduce the concentration of fine particles by controlling the pollutants. These give a hopeful outlook that the air pollution problem can cease to exist in the severe form that it now does, and with the support of not only governmental agencies and non-profit organizations, but also the help of everyday citizens, the problem can be overcome in no time. The air that people breathe everyday is critical to the very existence of not only civilization, but also the entire Earth; therefore, taking care of it should be a priority to everyone that inhabits it. A commitment needs to be made by all. It is not necessary for everyone to be radical protesters against factories and automobile manufacturers, but if everyone were to get involved, even in the slightest way, such as carpooling to work, the air that is inhaled by all as a matter of survival would be increasingly cleaner. The air pollution created by these factories is dangerous to the environment and to the health of people everywhere. â€Å"Industrial air pollution is the greatest threat to air quality in the United States. The factories themselves must not be treated as criminals in this matter; their intent is not to harm the environment, but to provide a product. They must be treated as fairly as possible, while still accomplishing the goal of cleaner air. Although this will be a long process, the end result of cleaner air and a cleaner environment will prove to be well worth the time, money and effort spent. The purpose of this paper is to design a continuous improvement plan for identifying the key issues and risks associated with the working of the business activities and recommendation plan to resolve the scenario of risks and issues (Cole, 2014). The aim of this paper is to develop a continuous management program for the Latino engineering organization. The continuous improvement program is developed on the basis of learning earned in the past activity forum. It is the basic need of the planner to analyse the activity schedule and criteria which was deployed in the working environment of the company in the past years. The development of comparison table between the working style which was undertaken in the peak period and the declination period of the enterprise can give the reason of failure of the company. The organization is moving towards the continuous improvement plan to earn profitability in the coming future by overcoming the flaws of the working structure. The quality of equipment is the major concern area to improve the working style because the delivery of defective equipment, designing of the equipment are not according to the customers requirement, improper communication for the management of customer services, p ackaging of wrong equipment for delivery, and many others raises the dissatisfaction in the associated regular customers. The purpose of this paper is to come up with the solution to improve the business incentives by providing fdrecommendation for improving the business processes. The quality of the equipment can be improved with the implementation of the continuous improvement techniques by analysing the flaws occurred in the past. Description: The innovative efforts help in improving the performance of the working employees. The mobilization of the working employees by changing the working structure and techniques helps in increasing the skills and expertise of the employees to give best output. The efforts can help in significantly improve the quality of the mechanical equipment developed by the enterprise. The step by step procedures should be followed for analysing the root cause of the failure of the project activities in developing good products with the completion of project activities. The business values can be retained with the deployment of management of risks and issues associated with the business processes. The communication standards should be followed for the management of coordination between the business activities, operations, and processes. The periodic changes should be undertaken for enhancing the working load of the enterprise. The background of the company helps in developing learning program for the basis of continuous improvement plan. The continuation of the processes generates new quality management program for increasing the efficiency of the good quality equipment. The continuous improvement program is developed on the basis of learning earned in the past activity forum (Liu, 2008). It is the basic need of the planner to analyse the activity schedule and criteria which was deployed in the working environment of the company in the past years. The promotional learning program helps in developing the problem solving architecture for improving the performance of the enterprise. The strategic and tactical decision creates an innovative program for the development of business forum. The competitive advantage can be created with the inclusion of sustainability program for transforming the organization culture and working structure of the Latino engineering company (Nataraj, 2011). The heterogeneous environment built the valuable learning model for the past flaws and obscure. The root cause analysis process is undergone for analysing the issues associated with the failure in providing quality equipment to the customers (Ballard, 2013). The process of root cause analysis is composed of various step which are categorised as identification of the problem area, grasp situation responsible for the failure of the equipment, data collection and analysing regarding causes and issues, and others. In the given case study, it has been identified that the company is facing the problem and failure in developing quality products because of the following factors: Inefficiency in the decision making capability of the new manger Dissatisfaction in the working employees Demotivated working employees Chaotic environment at the working place Roles and responsibilities are not divided according to the working ability of the employees. Failure of the plan prepared for the development of the equipment The analytical tools are used for identifying the root cause of the system failure. The efficiency of the developed plan depends on the contribution of the employees, development of the efficient risk mitigation strategies and functions, measurement of action plan, and other (Mahto, 2008). The implementation of the root cause analysis process helps in identifying gaps and clear understanding of the failure of the project. The problem can be identified, recognized, and understand on the basis of information collected from different sources. The findings of the process are categorised as problem related with the development design of the equipment, problems related with the procedure undertaken, errors related with the personal attitude, inefficiency in the training and development program, external environment, government regulation, and problems related with the management practices (Soni, 2013). The tools which are used for identifying the root cause are cause and effect diagram, interrelationship diagram, current reality tree, event and causal factor analysis, and others (Duphily, 2014). The cause and effect diagram is used for identifying the problem area associated with the failure of the Lationo engineering. It has been found that the continuous improvement plan is required in the area of machinery, method, material, and manpower. The failure of quality control method in the area of designing procedures, policies, and equipment is the major concern area for the existing situation of the company. The interrelationship diagram helps in identifying the potential cause which are associated with the coordination between the different processes laid down for completing the business activity. The cause and effects should be documented in the logical sequence for determining the actual cause for the degradation of the companys reputation. Event and causal factor analysis is depl oyed and implemented in the working structure of the enterprise for analysing the step by step cause of the failure. The pareto chart is used for developing the bar chart of the issues which are identified for the failure of the process undertaken by the enterprise. The scatter chart helps in providing the numerical analysis of the relationship between the different activities of the enterprise. The stratification helps in managing relationship between the supply and demand of the resources used for carrying out the processes undertaken. It has been identified that The task of developing the quality equipment is not completed on time The deficiency of training and development program for enhancing the skills and expertise of the employees. Roles and responsibilities are not divided according to the capabilities of the employees Unavailability of sufficient fund to develop quality equipment Good quality raw material is not provided by the supplier. Inefficiency in the procedure undertaken and decision making capability of the project manager. The services and processes are used for improving the quality of the equipment. The complaints of the stakeholders such as delivery of defective equipment, designing of the equipment are not according to the customers requirement, improper communication for the management of customer services, packaging of wrong equipment for delivery, and many others should be undertaken for the designing of the activities for the deployment of the continuous improvement plan. The change management schemes should be undertaken for improving the product quality which helps in increasing the efficiency of the enterprise. The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle is developed for changing the terminology and working structure of the Latino engineering. The new opportunities should be created for the employees to enhance their skills and expertise. The training and development program should be organized for changing the working style of the participants. The marketing strategies should be built up for increasing the investment of money by the recommended investors. The handsome amount of funds plays a vital role in acquiring quality of the product which is capable of satisfying the need of the customers. he monitoring of the working employees can be done with the deployment of performance appraisal schemes. These processes help in motivating the employees towards their working curriculum. The required changes are implemented in the business operational platform. The matrix should be prepared for analysing and checking the changes done on the system are efficient in improving the quality of the product. This cycle helps in implementing the continuous improvement plan for the Latino engineering. The implementation of the quality improvement plan for getting long term success in the benefit of the enterprise involves to change the following terminology: Focusing of the customer centric view: It is the vital role in satisfying the customers requirement by analysing their need and developing the design of the equipment according to the requirement specification plan set by the customers during the planning phase. It helps in improving the decision making capability of the working employees (Vatrapu, 2006). The loyalty program should be undertaken by the customers to recommend the actual requirement in the specification plan so that the designing of the component can be taken in the right direction. Democratic style of leadership: The project manager of the company should change its leadership style from autocratic to the democratic leadership style. In the democratic leadership style the views, opinion, thoughts, vision, and ideas of the working employees should be undertaken for implementing any decision within the working curriculum of the enterprise. The feeling of oneness should be created in the participating units. Process undertaken: It should be focused that the availability of the resources should be managed according to the demand and supply of the product to achieve the desired aim of the processes undertaken. Process interrelationship: The interrelationship should be maintained in the prescribed processes such as planning, analysing, designing, managing quality, risk control, and others. Quality management: The performance of the organization can be improved by improving the quality of the equipment which are designed for delivery them to the customers. The decision making capability of the manager can be improved by designing the factual analysis of the designed equipment. The adequate amount of funds should be provided to the manager to decide the quality of the raw material which can be afford for the development of better design. From the research, it has been analysed that the continuous improvement plan should be upgraded periodically with the association of data collection and analysis process which helps in identifying the areas where the improvement is required such as changing the traditional machinery with the new innovative machinery. The execution and evaluation of the design concepts helps in developing good quality equipment. The corrective action should be taken for the risks identified which are associated with the deployment processes. The priority should be set for the regulatory compliance of the government which are undertaken for the completion of the management process. The privilege and priority should be given to the handling of customer complaints. It motivates the employees and customer to be actively participating in the continuous improvement plan. The threats associated with the company reputation should be solved with the mitigation plan at first hand because the ignorance can affec t the good will of the enterprise which in turn affects the interest of the investor to provide sufficient fund to carry over the required task. The global trends and innovation should be adopted in the working platform of the Latino engineering company (Ashworth, 2014). The good and healthy relationship should be developed with the supplier to manage the good quality raw material for the increasing efficiency of the firm. The verification and validation process for determining the quality of the product plays a key role in improving the performance of the enterprise. It is recommended that the key performance indicators should be set for the working employees. It helps in improving the performance, skills and expertise of the participants to give best throughput of their working curriculum. The monitoring of the working employees can be done with the deployment of performance appraisal schemes. These processes help in motivating the employees towards their working curriculum (Fursule, 2012). The implementation of the continuous improvement plan helps in reducing the risks associated with the failure of the processes undertaken, the quality of the equipment can be improved, the level of satisfaction in the customers can be improved, overcoming the problem of potential failure associated with the development process of the product, helps in reducing the cost associated with the resources used, developing the supply of equipment within the prescribed deadline and the budget. The awareness of the flaws and obscure helps in reducing the risks associat ed with the development processes proactively in the early stages of the equipment development process. The handling of the critical issues involves the deployment of risk mitigation plan (Singh, 2015). The risk mitigation plan is comprised of activities like procedure undertaken for preventing data loss, increasing efficiency of the labour by rewarding with the incentives for their good work, designing of alternative plan, managing demand and supply of the resources, identifying the routine problems and associated countermeasures undertaken. The imagination of the proficiency helps in resolving the challenges faced by the working employees in deploying their best practices. It is recommended that the new tools and technologies should be deployed within the working curriculum of the enterprise because it motivates the employees to actively participate in completing the business operation (Ronald, 2015). The review of cost should be done for formulating the plan which helps in reduci ng the cost associated with the deployed resources and the business processes. The training and development program should be organized for changing the working style of the participants. The matrix should be prepared for checking the difference in performance of the existing working structure with the working structure after the deployment of continuous improvement plan. The focus should be given on the processes and the significant changes which should be undertaken in the designing processes. Conclusion: With the analysis of Latino engineering company scenario we have concluded that the change management plan should be undertaken for improving the quality of the equipment developed by the enterprise. The background of the company helps in developing learning program for the basis of continuous improvement plan. The Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle is developed for changing the terminology and working structure of the Latino engineering. The new opportunities should be created for the employees to enhance their skills and expertise. The handling of the critical issues involves the deployment of risk mitigation plan.
